Despite that it is quite a beautiful hedge. Selective thinning and clearing of the dead wood will be essential for this juniper hedge to thrive. The customer quite likes the blooms on the Native and has requested it remain along with the juniper. On the agenda, cutting back outer most dead flax and seed stalks, pruned correctly to alleviate common water retention issues with flax. These become a breeding ground for cockroaches and other garbage men of the insect world.
